Easter Day in New England

Sunday, March 23, 2008

Today is Easter day and I woke to bright sunshine....but 10 degrees outside...brrrrr!!! I have been eagerly waiting for the snow to melt and the sun to arrive with its warmth. Just waiting for my spring flowers to make my mood better allowing me to know that spring is arriving in New England. I walked the dogs outside and looked over the spring flowers just to see... yes, to see the green stems popping through the soil. And then to see my 6 little crocus plants coming alive. Two yellow, two white with purple and two deep purple here to celebrate Easter Sunday. It made my day and I have been smiling since. Yes, it is only 42 degrees and windy - very chilly... but the flowers are beginning to bring signs of what is to come. SPRING!!

Always in our hearts.
