Shed is a comin'!!!

Tuesday, June 26, 2007

Today was the LONG awaited day...'SHED DAY'. As you can see, my crushed rock pad is finished and leveled (after many hours of frustration). The driver arrived right on time, 8:15am and he helped me with the fence gate...only to find that it was about 6 inches too NARROW!!!

But, the driver and I took down one side of the fence (you can see it leaning against the trees...heeheeheee). Then he drove this HUGE truck with the little shed back into the yard and kept moving it back and forth to get around the pool. At one point the driver set the thing up on end and I worried that I needed to get some 'water wings' for the new shed....
After 30 minutes of moving things back and forth, the shed finally made it to its new home. As you can see, the doggies are psyched -- they now have the biggest dog house in town!!! Stay tuned for a recap of the adventures of making the backyard walkway with Carol and Dean...photos are coming soon (with shots of the finally grown new garden areas)!!!

Playground fun

Monday, June 4, 2007

Today was the 'ribbon cutting' for the playground that MOMMY designed. It is in downtown Hartford at an elementary school where the children don't get to play outside much. The playground is bright green, yellow, red and blue with fun places to run around, play hopskotch and do other fun stuff. It rained and rained and rained...so there is not much of the playground to see...but, it is on TV tonight, the radio this morning and all of the local newspapers. I guess these indoor pictures of running 3rd and 5th graders are all that we can see for now. Bad thing... MOMMY designed a NO DOGGIES ALLOWED playground. WE are ALL boycotting her for the rest of the day.

Always in our hearts.

Always in our hearts.
